301 Slant Needle
Singer's first slant needle sewing machine and attachments.
301 Slant Needle "Featherweight"
Powerful lightweight full-size portable straight-stitch only machine featuring:
The 301 may be nicknamed the "Featherweight's Big Sister," but it is mechanically very different from the 221 Featherweight. While both are light-weight portables, use the same bobbin, and have flip-up bed extensions, the resemblance ends there. The 301 is full-size, gear-driven slant needle machine, while the 221 Featherweight is a belt-driven vertical needle model.
The "short-bed" conforms to the standard dimensions of the 201, 401, & 500 and can be mounted in a Singer cabinet when paired with a cabinet cradle attachment.
The "long bed" version has a longer flip-up table, similar to the 221 Featherweight. Will not fit in standard Singer cabinet but can be used with long-bed Singer portable "card" table.
