Necchi Machines

Innovative and ground-breaking sewing machines manufactured in Pavia, Italy.  Vittorio Necchi pioneered fully automatic zigzag decorative stitching and built a reputation for innovative mechanical features with "modern" flair.
Unless otherwise credited, all machines shown are from my personal collection or machines I have previously owned.

Necchi BU Supernova

Stylish and powerful 1950's fully automatic zig-zag embroidery machine.  Automatic decorative stitches with variable pattern interval, reverse-feed for complex patterns, built-in buttonholer, and two-speed motor.  Variety of embroidery stitches rivals some of today's computerized machines.  The Supernova was also a heavy duty wonder capable of sewing leather and upholstery.
The instruction manual for the machine at right is dated 1955.

Supernova Accessory Box

The Supernova was equipped with an ingenious  multi-level accessory box which housed an impressive array of accessories.  The box also featured a built-in sitch pattern selection wheel which illustrated how to set the machines levers & knobs to produce a desired stitch!
